Hiker_PinkGreen

On the heels of an incredible inaugural season, the 2nd Annual Anthem Awards has officially opened and is honoring a suite of new honors for social impact work!

In consultation with our judging academy and after reviewing feedback from our community, we have introduced a new suite of honors that better reflect the state of social impact work. This season embodies the actions that leaders are taking within their organizations, the ways in which organizations are engaging their employees and the ways teams are using media and awareness campaigns to advocate for causes.

In line with our mission to amplify purpose & mission-driven work from people, companies and organizations worldwide, we’re excited to unveil new categories that will exist across the seven causes we honor: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Education, Arts & Culture, Health, Human & Civil Rights, Humanitarian Action & Services, Responsible Technology & Sustainability, Climate & Environment

Discover our new categories below, and enter here. For best pricing, enter before the Early Entry Deadline on July 29th, 2022.

Brand New Suite of Honors for Team & Workplace Initiatives

Over the years, the presence of purpose-driven initiatives within a company or business have become ever more important. Companies are reevaluating the ways in which they hire talent, as well as who they are seeking out for positions. Employees have founded resource groups to support and celebrate people diversity in all forms. Coworkers have been called to do more, together, and donate their resources to making change in their communities. To honor this, The Anthem Awards has introduced a brand new suite of categories for Team & Workplace Initiatives, including:

  • Hiring Initiative
  • Employee Learning & Development Initiative
  • ERG Initiative
  • Employee Volunteer or Fundraising Initiative
  • Special Workplace Initiative
  • Business Leader of the Year
  • Nonprofit Leader of the Year
  • Young Leader of the Year

Patagonia – Don’t Buy This Jacket

Patagonia has put social impact at the core of their brand mission and values from the start, and their iconic Don’t Buy This Jacket campaign demonstrates how brands can use their platform to make an impact — or better yet, to help reduce our impact. This 2011 ad ran in the New York Times on Black Friday, making a lasting impression for its bold message addressing the issue of consumerism head on and asking readers to take the Common Threads Initiative pledge to reduce, repair, reuse, recycle, and reimagine a world where we take only what nature can replace.
