Summary
During Jan 2025 LA wildfires, teens launched breakthrough disaster relief incorporating blockchain tech. Teens4LA pioneered Proof of Donation NFTs, launching ART4LA collection in collaboration w/20 NFT brands while utilizing Pledge's crypto-enabled platform accepting 130+ currencies globally. Innovative integration of Web3 tech w/crisis response demonstrates how digital natives can transform humanitarian fundraising through transparency, speed, & borderless accessibility during active crises.
Goals & Objectives
Incorporate blockchain tech in disaster relief fundraising, create rapid & transparent global crisis response system, establish replicable youth-led humanitarian model, engage crypto and NFT communities for social impact, provide immutable donation verification for transparency & visibility.
Results & Impact
Raised $50,698 thru blockchain-enabled platform; ~1.84ETH in Art4LA NFTs; mobilized Web3 donors w/~50% of funds raised in crypto/digital assets; created on-chain donation records; established youth-led Web3 model demonstrating immediate impact & transformative potential for crisis relief fundraising
