About This Project
Summary
Aquent, a global staffing company, set an ambitious goal in 2020: become the first carbon-negative company in our industry. We tackled this through a three-part strategy—reducing emissions, investing in renewable energy via solar, and tracking our impact in real time. In 2024, we officially became the first carbon-negative company in our industry. Our journey proves that companies can take real, measurable steps toward climate leadership through innovation, investment, and accountability.
Goals & Objectives
Our climate action efforts established us as a carbon-negative company and a certified scope-3 free vendor (meaning we don’t add emissions to our clients' supply chain). Now we are working to scale our efforts to achieve our next goal: fully erasing our 38-year historic carbon footprint.
Results & Impact
We reached our ambitious goal of becoming the first carbon-negative company in our industry in 2024. We cut emissions by 56%, installed 20K+ solar panels, produced over 1K MWh of clean energy, received scope-3 free certification, and engaged employees using ERGs, projects, and charitable donations.
