About This Project
Summary
We used AI to recreate 100 years of silenced Iranian women’s singing voices, banned from public life since 1979. By blending historical research, creative storytelling, and cutting-edge technology, the project turned silence into sound. Shared as a short-form video, it sparked global conversation and awareness around women’s rights, censorship, and the power of art to resist erasure.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal was to raise awareness of the silencing of Iranian women singers, highlight the role of AI in preserving culture, and ignite dialogue on freedom of expression. We set out to transform absence into presence and inspire global solidarity with women’s voices.
Results & Impact
The video reached over 1.2M people, generating thousands of comments, shares, and discussions worldwide. It amplified awareness of gender-based censorship in Iran, positioned AI as a tool for justice, and showed how digital storytelling can spark global advocacy for silenced voices.
