About This Project
Summary
The CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge empowers early-career storytellers to step into leadership positions for a good cause by creating short films in collaboration with hyper-local nonprofit organizations. The initiative provides its participants with education, mentorship, resources, a $5,000 budget, and real-life paid leadership experience. By focusing on aspiring talent early in their career, the experience cultivates creative leaders who tell stories and lead teams in a human-centered way.
Goals & Objectives
The mission of the CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge is to empower early-career storytellers to step into leadership positions. With a design centered around inclusion, the experience seeks to inject equity into the creative supply chain and social impact into the culture of the creative ecosystem.
Results & Impact
Guided by mentors, 35 storytellers received education around filmmaking, inclusive leadership, community-focused collaboration, and human-centered design, then they created short films for 5 nonprofits. The NPOs won $250,000 in donations and received full ownership of the films made on their behalf.
