About This Project

Summary

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, United Way Worldwide and Paramount partnered to put together The United Way Benefit for Hurricane Relief, a star-studded concert that aired as a nationally televised one-hour special on November 2 in Nashville. Top performers, partners, and celebrities, particularly those from the impacted areas, came together with music, words of encouragement and hope to help raise funds for those impacted.

Goals & Objectives

The United Way Benefit for Hurricane Relief was created as a moment of reflection and hope to tap into the cultural collectivism and mobilize communities to raise critical funds for relief and recovery following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which caused an estimated $50 billion in damage.

Results & Impact

The Benefit helped drive more than 6,700 new and re-engaged donors through SMS Text to Give and on-screen QR codes during the live televised event. Gifts to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Relief Fund, including those made through the televised benefit, total more than $5 million to date.
