About This Project

Summary

Fiverr’s Future Collective accelerator program, launched in 2021 and now culminating in its third year, was designed to create pathways for Black-owned businesses to scale and achieve their business goals. Hosted in partnership with 1863 Ventures, the program aims to support early-stage US and Canada-based businesses move from high potential to high growth. The program's purpose is to enable a more equitable playing field for entrepreneurs who face systemic and institutionalized barriers.

Goals & Objectives

From a capital perspective, awardees each receive US$20,000 total: $15,000 in cash and $5,000 in Fiverr credit. The $15,000 can be used towards the business however the entrepreneurs and their coach see fit and the $5,000 credit can be applied to professional services offered on Fiverr’s platform.

Results & Impact

All 12 participants of Fiverr Future Collective’s third cohort graduated and joined the 1863 Ventures Community. Over three years, 32 entrepreneurs completed the program, receiving $600,000 in direct Fiverr funding and 150+ mentorship hours.
