About This Project
Summary
This Is Not Financial Advice (Official Tribeca Film Festival 2023 selection) exposes the startling risks and rewards of today's financial market through expert commentary and the anxiety-inducing stories of real people trying to make millions. Follow financial commentators, educators, and amateur investors such as Glauber "Pro" Contessoto, an immigrant working multiple jobs who gambles his life savings on a joke cyptocurrency only to become a millionaire two months later.
Goals & Objectives
The film set out to be part of a larger financial education campaign to improve financial access, inclusion, and knowledge around the country. In collaboration with partners and leaders in the finance space, it empowers people to examine and improve how they understand, relate to, and use money.
Results & Impact
Aims to reach 3 million students particularly in underserved communities, increase participation in financial education programs, champion legislation for financial education in high school, and spark collaboration between traditional institutions and communities in need of financial empowerment.
