About This Project
Summary
Many people know education ought to be different, but don’t know in what way. Edutopia, founded in 1991 by filmmaker George Lucas, is a trusted source shining a spotlight on what works in preK-12 education through stories, videos, and community programming. We help educators see and understand what relevant and effective learning and teaching look like, why it’s important, and how to do it. Focused on solutions, Edutopia empowers educators to create positive change in classrooms worldwide.
Goals & Objectives
Edutopia aims to find, describe, and promote effective education strategies, models, and innovations by sharing stories about what works. We also identify and evaluate evidence that supports effective learning practices for learners, educators, and schools.
Results & Impact
Edutopia reaches ~15M monthly across our site, newsletters, and social. Our global community of 850K+ educators generates 1.5M engagements monthly. More than 90% of audience survey respondents state that Edutopia gives them tips and strategies they have implemented.
