About This Project
Summary
Microcredit using local currency helps financial service providers deliver funding to small businesses, women entrepreneurs, and informal enterprises– underserved segments of the population crucial to boosting economic growth, creating jobs, and driving financial inclusion.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal was to show how microcredit is changing the lives of families, entrepreneurs, and women-owned small businesses in Madagascar. We demonstrate how small loans can play a key role in boosting employment and economic growth and offer opportunities to citizens with no access to finance.
Results & Impact
With over 33K unique views, the story has spotlighted how inclusive finance—especially in local currency—can catalyze entrepreneurship, women-led businesses, and job creation in underserved regions.
