About This Project
Summary
After news of the wildfires in Maui, Hawaii, Environment created a fundraiser to provide relief to those affected. Through over 10 social media articles, we not only provided coverage on the natural disaster and its casualties, but also contextualized the wildfire within subsequent displacements, Hawaiian history, and local dialogues around tourism. All donations raised were directed to the Na Wahine Toa Foundation.
Goals & Objectives
Our primary goal was to support Maui through fundraising and awareness. We provided updates on the wildfire's impact and highlighted local conversations to keep the disaster top of mind and maximize donations.
Results & Impact
