About This Project

Summary

Leadership Now Project (LNP) is an organization of 400+ business leaders and academics taking action to protect democracy. LNP organized Wisconsin business leaders filing an amicus brief in support of Administrator Meagan Wolfe remaining in her position, emphasizing the importance of stable election administration for businesses. In Ohio, LNP issued an open letter expressing opposition to Issue 1, a proposed constitutional amendment that threatened the integrity of Ohio’s democratic processes.

Goals & Objectives

The Ohio open letter and the Wisconsin amicus brief sought to demonstrate the business community’s commitment and ability to safeguard democratic institutions and processes from rising threats, including attacks on election administrators and majority rule.

Results & Impact

In part due to Leadership Now Project’s efforts, Ohio Issue 1 was defeated, and a judge ruled that WI Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe should remain in her role. These successes illustrate LNP’s ability to engage members and influence local politics through grassroots initiatives.
