About This Project
Summary
In 2020, filmmakers Erica Rose and Elina Street approached Jägermeister to save U.S. lesbian bars. There were only 16 bars nationwide and COVID-19 threatened complete closure. Their successful 3-year campaign went global in 2024 with "FLINTA," documenting LGBTQ communities in Cologne and Berlin. Despite Germany's proud queer nightlife, lesbian bars are disappearing there too. "FLINTA" spotlights nightlife leaders in Europe's largest country, ensuring these vital spaces survive.
Goals & Objectives
"FLINTA" adapted The Lesbian Bar Project's successful US strategy for international audiences. We utilized award-winning filmmaking, community activations, queer leader partnerships, and social media. Our audience felt reflected in “FLINTA” because we were showcasing the bars they call home.
Results & Impact
Four-year partnership shows significant increases: Brand Awareness (+9.3%), Ad Awareness (+7.6%), Favorability (+9.7%), Purchase Intent (+5.9%). FLINTA delivered 18M impressions, 3M streams, $2.4M earned media from $270K investment. FLINTA Won 2 Webbys, ANA, Titan, 4 Tellys, 2 Communicator awards.
