About This Project
Summary
Don't Ban Equality (DBE), a coalition of 1,000+ businesses supporting abortion access, placed a digital billboard ad in New York's Times Square that read, "Reproductive health is every business’s business," alongside a list of signatories. This initiative sought to raise awareness ahead of the Supreme Court's oral arguments concerning the accessibility of the abortion pill, mifepristone. This ad was created in partnership with media agency, FiveTier, and creative agency Beers With Friends.
Goals & Objectives
The campaign prompted businesses to consider the direct economic impact from not supporting reproductive healthcare access for their workers, while providing a foundation for peers across industries to join together in solidarity around this cause.
Results & Impact
The billboard catalyzed discourse regarding the workforce and economic implication of abortion access. It was featured in Jessica Valenti’s Abortion, Every Day; Fortune’s Broadsheet; and attracted eight new companies to sign onto DBE. It reached over 30 million people organically via social media.
