Summary

Navigator|UK--Our A.I.-powered assistant helps journalists navigate online threats. Whether your attacks are online or have moved into your work or home, Navigator|UK provides supports and instruction on gathering evidence, making a safety plan and seeking aid. The chatbot prompts you to create a profile, where your conversations and reports can be saved for future reference or to submit to law enforcement, attorneys and agencies assisting with threats to journalists and press freedoms.

Goals & Objectives

To deliver just-in-time education, training and next steps on navigating online threats for journalists. The chatbot uses the latest in artificial intelligence large language models to provide guidance to applicable laws, resources and agencies for support, and recommendations for next steps.

Results & Impact

Our team, with support from the Coalition Against Online Violence, has been deploying our A.I. model with colleagues in the U.K. and with international legal partners and journalists to ensure our information is accurate. Navigator's reports become video explainer tools for sharing on social media.
