About This Project

Summary

Hyundai Hope On Wheels and Musicians On Call (MOC) partnered during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to bring the healing power of music to pediatric oncology patients nationwide and draw attention to childhood cancers. As part of the campaign, Hyundai Hope On Wheels’ Youth Ambassadors Emmy and Raynie participated in the MOC Songwriting program, working with hit songwriters Sam Hollander and Jax to write and release an original song to bring hope and light to children battling cancer.

Goals & Objectives

Emmy & Raynie pulled from their journeys with pediatric cancer to write the healing anthem “Hope Lights the Way.” To inspire patients to see the light at the end of the tunnel, they wrote lyrics like “It takes the sun and rain to make a rainbow / If you wanna be brave, don’t let ‘em knock you down.”

Results & Impact

“Hope Lights the Way” debuted at the Hyundai Hope On Wheels annual gala in D.C. with a live performance by Jax, Emmy and Raynie and is available on all streaming platforms. As of Spring 2025, the song was streamed over 15,000 times on Spotify alone, and the accompanying video has over 140,000 views.
