About This Project
Summary
DIME Program is a national wealth creation and financial literacy program serving high school students--with a focus on black and brown students. The goal is to create accessible learning of the financial system and how it can be used to their advantage to build generational wealth. This film was a short documentary of their graduation ceremony weekend held in New York City. The weekend featured visits to leading financial firms in NYC & more.
Goals & Objectives
The objective of this project was to capture the events (Times Square visit, wealth firms, awards banquet, etc.) while keeping it engaging & fun. We wanted to create a film that other high school students of color may watch and want to join and participate in the future.
Results & Impact
We have yet to see the impact because the project was so recent--however in the past 2 years the program has almost doubled in participants and they are now looking to launch a digital platform to expand their offerings. The word is spreading and this film should also support the growth.
