About This Project

Summary

I Was Born was a project launched by LabX and The Science & Entertainment Exchange - both National Academy of Sciences programs - in 2024. The YouTube-based program highlights different scientists working in unique and exciting frontiers and takes the audience on a journey of how they got to where they are today. I Was Born highlights seven scientists, and Season 2 of the show is currently in production.

Goals & Objectives

The main goal of the campaign was to highlight scientists who have a variety of backgrounds and work in varying fields. By highlighting scientists working at unique organizations like NASCAR, Disney, and NASA, we show the wide range of work one can do as a member of the STEM community.

Results & Impact

The show was LabX and The Exchange's most successful digital product, with each of the five episodes receiving between 114K-158K views. The episodes also saw wide engagement on TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms.
