About This Project

Summary

"Rise Up & Fight" commemorates the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer. In the song and music video, James Chaney, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman, the three Civil Rights volunteers abducted and killed by the KKK in 1964, return to Mississippi expecting a world of change, only to discover that social unrest still persists. They issue an urgent call to action to us to fight for what is right!

Goals & Objectives

This anthem is a part of the FREEDOM ADVANCES non-partisan campaign purposed to inspire greater voter participation during this national election cycle.

Results & Impact

Our goals for success are two million+ global views, 50-75 organizational collaborators (who will distribute the video to their constituencies), and a Rise Up Music Challenge that will inspire young creatives to sample the song to create civic messaging that will appeal to their peers.
