CHS Alliance Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH) Harmonised Reporting Tool (HRS)
OutlandishAbout This Project
Summary
Sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) of people facing crisis significantly undermines the integrity and effectiveness of humanitarian efforts. CHS Alliance developed the SEAH Harmonised Reporting Scheme (HRS) as a unified framework to facilitate the collection and reporting of comparable anonymous data on SEAH incidents. HRS aggregates, analyses and safely uses data at national and global levels to identify the scale of abuse and the biggest challenges to tackle and respond to SEAH.
Goals & Objectives
Equipped with credible evidence, HRS participants design strategies and actions to better tackle SEAH. By being more transparent on the actions they take against SEAH, they also encourage victims/survivors to come forward, ultimately reducing SEAH under-reporting over time.
Results & Impact
Two HRS reports on SEAH trends have already been published and shared with over 20,000 humanitarians worldwide. They provide a valuable foundation for understanding key SEAH issues and identify effective starting points for intervention. As more join HRS, the value of these reports will increase.
