About This Project

Summary

To send a powerful message to Congressional leaders and other government officials, one of country music's hottest stars Jelly Roll and three-time Grammy-award-winning musician Wyclef Jean teamed up with Grammy-nominated Fat Joe for a dynamic live event in Washington, D.C. The artists took the stage to add their voices to the critical need for systemwide healthcare price transparency.

Goals & Objectives

The goal was to advocate to lawmakers in attendance that Americans need access to real prices from hospitals and insurers up front, so they can stop being price gouged, fraudulently billed, and sent into bankruptcy.

Results & Impact

The event had tremendous attendance from over twenty Members of Congress and their staff, senior White House officials, and reporters including CNN anchor Sara Sidner who created a feature story on-air about the event and the critical issue of healthcare price transparency.
