About This Project
Summary
MSNBC’s Richard Lui is the first AAPI male to anchor a daily national news broadcast in America. Volunteering on behalf of nonprofit PRISCA, Lui led the development of Inclusion@Work, a series of seven risk reports (Latino, Black, Asian and Indigenous Americans, Gender, Generations, and Silicon Valley) with action-based metrics for diversity champions. Lui’s DEI advocacy with PRISCA also includes directing a PSA on bystander intervention, produced in response to a wave of anti-Asian hate.
Goals & Objectives
The Inclusion@Work reports, with research and analysis conducted over two years, provides the industry first-party answers from an arm’s length that internal studies cannot. This results in more honest answers, harder questions asked, and significantly lowers fiduciary-related risk.
Results & Impact
The Inclusion@Work studies held launch events at the World Economic Forum in Davos, SXSW, CES, and more. The reports are now used in boardrooms in Fortune 500 companies. Findings included that 29% of Workers of Color have considered filing a lawsuit due to treatment based on identity or background.
