About This Project

Summary

Community Care Works is a bold campaign aimed at protecting and advancing criminal justice-related victories in Los Angeles and across the state of California. In partnership with Dignity and Power Now and Los Angeles Community Action Network, the campaign advocates for new systems of care that dismantle unjust structures through creative storytelling and broad-based communications strategies.

Goals & Objectives

Lead a comprehensive campaign targeting local officials to prioritize community wellness. Our advocacy urged reallocation of tax funds to housing, education, and essential services, emphasizing proven solutions, addressing historical injustices, and enhancing public awareness of vital resources.

Results & Impact

Community Care Works used storytelling and paid media to advocate for new care systems, reaching 11.1M people in LA County in under a month: 8M+ billboards, 1.2M TV/streaming, 756K+ mobile billboards, and 1.27M digital impressions. It was recognized as a Webby Honoree for impactful advocacy.
