Summary

Our strategy combined storytelling, outreach, and community partnership to spark dialogue on aging and sexual health. By centering authentic voices of adults 50+, we built empathy and awareness around HIV, ageism, racial disparities, and sexual ageism. Community screenings, workshops, and digital platforms extended reach, while collaborations with health and advocacy groups amplified impact, ensuring these vital but overlooked conversations were seen and heard.

Goals & Objectives

Even Me: The Journey seeks to confront rising HIV/STI rates in adults 50+ by breaking taboo silence. The film aims to shift hearts and minds, reduce stigma, and equip healthcare and communities to address sexual health as essential to overall well-being. Translate research through storytelling.

Results & Impact

Scholarly publications show raised HIV awareness, reduced stigma, awareness and behavioral change related to sexual ageism in healthcare. Now on Prime 2025, we expand its reach, amplifying community voices to further reduce HIV stigma and advance equity for aging and marginalized populations.
