About This Project
Summary
VoiceAssist is a new generative AI voice tool in the Now Platform. It removes digital barriers for disabled users and speeds up work for everyone using this workplace tool. Accessibility was a starting point, not a fix. Full disability inclusion was core to our product strategy. We co-designed it with disabled employees and advisors. Over 100 hours of inclusive user testing shaped key features like always-on listening, speech speed control, AI summaries, and enterprise voice commands.
Goals & Objectives
We aimed to embed accessibility into the core of our enterprise software. Our objectives: 1. design with disabled users from day one 2. build bespoke voice tools for real enterprise work 3. prove that inclusive design improves productivity, user experience, and product value across the board
Results & Impact
Disabled users completed tasks 41% faster. Usability scores rose 47%. Users felt less fatigue & more control. VoiceAssist is now active in education, government, and finance, supporting IT, HR, and service teams. User feedback - “I don’t have to fight the screen anymore, VoiceAssist just gets it.”
