We are the Descendants (in 79 languages)

About This Project

Summary

In this video, vocalists worldwide all sing the same phrase, “We are the descendants,” but in 79 different languages. The second portion of the film involves a car crash where a child must be rescued from beneath the burning wreckage. Only by the combined efforts of several disparate strangers, can the car be lifted. This is an affirmation of our common origin as peoples and cultures of the world. We all descend from a common source as our fate is intertwined.

Goals & Objectives

Audiences are often moved by the viewing experience of this video. I am of the belief that dissemination of strongly inspiring content actually moves the needle, even if incrementally.

Results & Impact

As of this submission, the video has only been public for about 2 weeks. It is already approaching 100,000 views, as it gets shared and viewed often. My observations are all anecdotal, but the notes and feedback reveal a consistently passionate and deeply moved viewership.
