About This Project
Summary
The animated film, unveiled on the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, tells the story of Ukrainian women who have fled Ukraine since the outbreak of the war, honing in on the barriers to employment they face as they seek to rebuild their lives in their host countries. In a commitment to authenticity, Ukrainian female illustrators based in Kyiv were hired and drew on traditional Ukrainian painting styles such as Petrykivka, whilst Ukrainian artists provided the voice-over.
Goals & Objectives
The film calls on companies around the world to play their part in creating pathways for Ukrainian women to find employment, and join the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a fast-growing network of major companies across Europe and the Americas that are committed to refugees’ labor market integration.
Results & Impact
At launch, the film was broadcast on Trafalgar Sq, London, at a rally showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people. It has been shown by Tent at many B2B events to drive action, and 100+ companies have joined Tent since its debut. On social media the film has been viewed more than 60K times.
