Summary

The Carter Center’s 2023 annual report honored the organization’s two co-founders, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter. In addition to sharing the Carters’ impressive history and long list of accomplishments, the report brought readers stories of how people across the world today benefit from the Carter Center’s work, demonstrating how our founders’ vision will be carried into the future. The report was also turned into a digital version for more reader engagement.

Goals & Objectives

In early 2024, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter had recently passed away, and President Carter was 99 years old and in hospice. The time was right to compile a tribute to both figures, especially fitting given their history of working as close partners in life, politics, and at the Center.

Results & Impact

After President Carter passed away in late 2024, the tribute content was repackaged as a standalone piece that was shared with the organization’s supporters and reporters covering his funeral. The digital version remains an impactful way for visitors to engage with both the Carters and our work.
