About This Project

Summary

Sean Ebony Coleman is a grassroots activist and the CEO and founder of Destination Tomorrow, a national LGBTQ+ nonprofit providing direct services to community members across three cities. The organization holds the unique distinction of being built for and led by Black and Trans people. With services ranging from economic empowerment coursework to housing and referrals for gender-affirming care, the nonprofit has served tens of thousands of individuals nationwide.

Goals & Objectives

Destination Tomorrow’s mission is to ensure that no LGBTQ+ individual has to leave their neighborhood to access emergency care or social services. In the current political climate, with over 600 anti-LGBTQ+ bills proposed in 2025 alone, this mission is more relevant than ever before.

Results & Impact

This year, Destination Tomorrow reached new heights as a national LGBTQ+ nonprofit. The nonprofit held another successful Da Bronx Pride Festival, co-hosted World Pride in Washington, DC and launched the nation’s first city-sponsored shelter for TGNC individuals in New York.
