About This Project
Summary
In collaboration with Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba, "Heads Up! Becoming Concussion Smart" transforms complex concussion data into an engaging animated video. This project educates children, parents, and the public on concussion impacts and preventive care. By creating “Neuroville” with relatable characters, we showed how everyone can help protect youth from head injuries. Our goal was to make the content accessible and memorable, keeping concussion prevention top of mind.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal was to simplify scientific data on youth concussions into an engaging animated video. We sought to educate diverse audiences—children, parents, and educational and medical professionals—on the serious outcomes of concussions in youth, while empowering them to take preventive action.
Results & Impact
The video received special commendation in the 2023 IHDCYH Talks Video Competition. It garnered positive feedback from both the audience and the client, effectively raising awareness and making complex medical information accessible and engaging.
