About This Project

Summary

The USO operates 250+ centers globally, providing a welcoming place for service members and their families to come for respite that includes free internet, gaming, entertainment and the ability to call home. USO Centers are also the hub for the military community to gather for planned events and programs for all ages. With locations in 39 states and 27 countries, there is a Center nearby for support. In 2023, the USO expanded support with new ship-based centers aboard Navy aircraft carriers.

Goals & Objectives

The USO mission is to strengthen the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families. Our centers provide relaxation and connectivity, and they aim to ensure that service members and families have home-like comforts that foster a sense of security and community.

Results & Impact

6.5 million: Number of times service members and families visited USO Centers worldwide in 2023. They provide essential support ensuring service members' well-being and connection to loved ones. The global presence of USO Centers bolsters morale and provides a lifeline for military families.
