About This Project
Summary
Venezuelans and Immigrants Aid (VIA) is a dynamic, volunteer-driven organization in New York City, dedicated to empowering those seeking humanitarian protection in the U.S. Our mission is clear: to guide displaced individuals on a path toward safety, integration, and independence. Through vital resources like language training, mental health support, food, clothing, and legal assistance, VIA ensures migrants can rebuild their lives, gain stability, and reconnect with a sense of community
Goals & Objectives
Recognizing the need for a more organized effort, Niurka Meléndez and Héctor Arguinzones founded Venezuelans and Immigrants Aid (VIA) in 2016, a 100% voluntary, community-based nonprofit that serves as a bridge for displaced people and asylum seekers.
