About This Project

Summary

The Economic Innovation Group gathered over ten thousand data points to measure economic dynamism in the US– the process through which an economy renews itself. The EIG found that dynamism has fallen and that most states have been struggling since 2008. They worked with Voilà: to build a rare combination of storytelling with playful animations and a dashboard that gives complete control over the data to the readers to complete their own exploration, related to their state and lived experience.

Goals & Objectives

The goal of the project is to promote growth and fight poverty by highlighting the crucial role of economic dynamism in the development of the economy and to provoke policy changes that will benefit the well-being of the population through the creation of quality jobs aligned with its needs.

Results & Impact

Since its release in summer 2023, the tool attracted over 3,300 unique users who generated more than 17,700 interactions (clicks and downloads) with the online tool. It has also helped EIG strengthen their relationships with several governments (Utah and New York in particular) as a useful support.
