Summary

Stories from the Stage partnered with Nebraska Public Media and Vision Maker Media to capture the essence of Native American life today, from the joys of powwow dance to the transformation of pain into purpose. On Sacred Ground features three Lincoln residents sharing a unique perspective on the sacred connection to the land and traditional ways of seeing. In Sacred Circle, three storytellers explore the significance of the circle as a symbol of life’s cyclical nature for Native Americans.

Goals & Objectives

On Sacred Ground and Sacred Circle offer glimpses into contemporary Native American life. By providing a national platform for first-time Native American storytellers, Stories from the Stage honors their voices and stories, fostering deeper understanding and appreciation of Native American cultures.
