About This Project

Summary

WSL Rising Tides is a program that inspires the next generation of surfers by creating connections between young athletes and their surfing heroes both in and out of the water.

Goals & Objectives

The goal of Rising Tides is to empower the next generation of surfers by introducing them to their heroes and providing invaluable connections, while also reinforcing the importance of mentorship and community within the professional circuit.

Results & Impact

Since 2021, nine Rising Tides alumni have gone on to join the Championship Tour. One former Rising Tides surfer - Caity Simmers - has gone on to win a World Title in 2024. In 2025, Rising Tides had 375 participants from around the globe across nine countries.
