About This Project

Summary

AARP partnered with Lauren and Seth Rogen to create a video highlighting their short film Taking Care. The film shares their journey caring for Lauren’s mother, who had early-onset Alzheimer’s. By combining powerful storytelling and celebrity advocacy, our video helped raise awareness of caregiving’s emotional and financial toll, educate viewers, and reinforce AARP’s mission to support family caregivers and foster social change.

Goals & Objectives

AARP estimates over 48 million unpaid caregivers in the U.S. face significant challenges. By sharing the Rogens’ story, we aimed to highlight these real-life struggles in order to strengthen support for caregivers and educate a broader audience about this underrepresented and underserved group.

Results & Impact

The video was featured on AARP.org, YouTube, and Facebook and garnered over 435k views. Supporting reels across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook collectively garnered more than 10 million views, amplifying awareness of caregiving challenges and connecting with millions on Alzheimer’s caregiving.
