About This Project

Summary

Civic Strength Partners (CSP) is a collaborative initiative by Accountability Lab, Development Gateway, and Digital Public formed as a response to the devastating funding cuts in international development. CSP focuses on providing resources, professional services support, and infrastructure to civil society organizations navigating major transitions, including mergers, acquisitions and sundowns. We are helping build resilient and sustainable foundations for public interest work going forward.

Goals & Objectives

Our goal is to strengthen the global civil society ecosystem by preserving impact, protecting institutional knowledge, and fostering long-term resilience in the face of funding volatility and systemic challenges.

Results & Impact

200+ organizations have joined our matchmaking database, generating several active merger and transition discussions. We are bringing on expertise to support archival planning, fiscal sponsorship, asset transfers, and more to ensure decades of public interest work are not lost to crisis.
