Summary

AKF in Portugal developed a free, multilingual blended learning course on Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), in collaboration with ten European Diversity Charters. Delivered through AKF’s Learning Hub platform - a free global platform for inclusive, sustainable learning. The course builds inclusive workplace cultures via video-based learning, in-person facilitation, and a national Communities of Practice, fostering safe, sustained, and practical engagement with DEI across 15 countries.

Goals & Objectives

To promote inclusive organisational cultures across Europe by providing free, accessible D&I learning tailored to local contexts. The course seeks to build practical skills, ensure psychological safety in learning, and create a peer network to support sustained engagement with DEI principles.

Results & Impact

Since 2021, 20,000+ learners from 150+ organisations in 15 countries enrolled online, with 2,000+ attending in-person sessions. In 2024, the D&I course also became mandatory for 4,000+ AKF staff globally, reinforcing internal culture change.
