About This Project

Summary

Beyond Voting Season 1 created conversations prior to the 2024 Presidential Election that are evergreen and speak to what we're experiencing now in the United States. We encouraged our community to think beyond the ballot box, and we raised awareness about other powerful political avenues such as grassroots organizing and participating in local elections. We inspired listeners to get educated instead of indoctrinated, to ask important questions, and re-imagine their role in democracy.

Goals & Objectives

Our goal was to highlight critical issues central to the 2024 election & ask questions that weren’t being discussed in mainstream platforms such as what should a person do if a candidate doesn’t speak to their issues? We compelled people to get activated & create the society we deserve.

Results & Impact

We fostered generative discussions with our community & our network has expanded to include activists & scholars from across the U.S. The production of this podcast supported a team of BIPOC professionals, & we're developing a curriculum focused on action beyond voting for HS & college students.
