Summary
The World Economic Forum points out the transition to a decarbonized economy presents annual business opportunities worth $10 trillion that could create 395 million jobs by 2030 and significantly spur inclusive economic growth. We launched Climate-Resilient Employees for a Sustainable Tomorrow (CREST)–a five-year, $25 million initiative–on Earth Day 2022 to help close the gap between employer demand for a skilled workforce for green jobs and the number of people ready for these opportunities

CREST supports: Jobs for the Future to prepare 25K+ people in the U.S. for quality green jobs World Resources Institute to examine what MSMEs need to meet corporate sustainability goals and avoid supply chain disruptions WRI India to reskill 1K+ MSME workers in India to build business resilience
Results & Impact
To date: ~$5 million deployed to U.S. regions for job training 30+ partnerships to avoid supply chain disruption through worker reskilling Reskilling of 200 Indian MSMEs, exceeding target by 100% COP28 and Global Impact Investing Network annual forum sessions World Economic Forum report spotlight
