About This Project

Summary

AXS Map is a crowdsourced platform that helps people with disabilities find and rate accessible public spaces. Users contribute reviews on wheelchair access, bathrooms, and more. We grow our data through community Mapathons, school partnerships, and outreach with advocacy groups—empowering users to improve access in their neighborhoods while building a national accessibility dataset.

Goals & Objectives

To build a comprehensive, community-driven database of accessibility information for public spaces, empower people with disabilities to share their experiences, and promote inclusion by helping individuals and businesses improve access through crowdsourced data and local engagement.

Results & Impact

AXS Map has empowered thousands to rate accessibility, built a national data set, and raised awareness through Mapathons. Our goal is to make AXS Map even more accessible and user-friendly—helping create a world that's easier to navigate for everyone.
