Summary
Created by Daniel Errico and directed by Shabnam Rezaei, The Bravest Knight is the first-ever Hulu Kids’ Original series and continues to break new ground in children's media with its second season. Season 2 builds on the inclusive storytelling and representation that earned the first season the GLAAD Award for Outstanding Kids & Family Programming in 2020. Season 2 was recognized with a GLAAD nomination in 2025, reaffirming its role as a pioneer in LGBTQ+ representation in all-ages content.
Goals & Objectives
Each episode of The Bravest Knight helps normalize positive representation in age-appropriate ways, teaching children acceptance and empathy. As far as the cast goes, we find it crucial to create an inclusive and authentic casting.
Results & Impact
Season 2 has been positively received by both audiences and critics for its thoughtful representation and storytelling. It was recently honored with the inaugural VELMA Award for "Best Episode for Storytime with Drag Queens," confirming that its creative risks had real cultural impact.
