About This Project
Summary
DBS Foundation (DBSF) supports the vulnerable & aims to foster inclusion so every person can live & age with dignity, purpose & joy, by empowering both seniors of today & tomorrow. Youth unemployment remains high in some markets in Asia, with women disproportionately affected. To tackle this, DBSF implemented multi-year programmes in key markets with strategic partners to unlock employment opportunities for youth & women, to create tangible pathways to employment & improved financial health.
Goals & Objectives
DBSF committed >SGD3M to 3 new programmes to support ~400K underprivileged youth & women 1. Dicoding (ID): Train youth in digital skills (coding) 2. MakerBay (HK): Train youth in digital skills (No-code & AI) 3. Haqdarshak (IN): Support women with digital/financial literacy & social welfare access
Results & Impact
The programmes reached >500K beneficiaries (1.25x target), improving their knowledge & skills (confident to apply in real world). By equipping them with skills & knowledge, we aim to improve their employability, enabling a brighter future where they can contribute and thrive.
