About This Project
Summary
Earflo is pioneering a non-invasive, at-home treatment for negative middle ear pressure in children as young as two. The Earflo device is designed to look like a child’s sippy cup and features a gamified companion app. Clinical trials show improved hearing and avoidance of surgery during the study. With direct-to-consumer access, NGO partnerships, and FDA clearance pending, Earflo is poised to transform pediatric ear care globally and equitably.
Goals & Objectives
To provide an effective, non-surgical solution for childhood middle ear disease, improve hearing and developmental outcomes, reduce the need for surgery and deliver equitable access to care for children in both developed and resource-limited settings.
Results & Impact
Earflo delivers immediate, proven impact: 90% of children avoided surgery in clinical trials. Scaled globally, it could prevent millions of surgeries annually, saving billions and avoiding preventable developmental delay, reducing the lifelong disadvantage faced by many underserved children.
