About This Project
Summary
For "The Check Up 25," Google’s annual event for AI & health, we highlighted the story of the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology in the Netherlands, who is using Google Gemini models to develop an AI tool called Capricorn. Capricorn helps physicians accelerate the identification of personalized cancer treatments by combining vast public medical data and de-identified patient data, rapidly generating summaries of treatment options and relevant medical publications for physicians.
Goals & Objectives
The audience for “The Check Up” is primarily doctors, clinicians, and journalists. Our goal was to show what’s possible with Gemini in clinical settings, and how it can help doctors do what they do best: care for their patients.
Results & Impact
“The Check Up” targets medical professionals, partners, academics, researchers, press, and startups. The Princess Máxima film helped drive a 13% increase in social media mentions, a 35% increase in livestream views, a 155% increase in social media impressions, and 95% positive/neutral mentions.
