About This Project
Summary
Jill Hardy Heath, President and CEO of Heart of America (HOA), believes that every student everywhere deserves boundless space to learn. Over the past 10 years, Jill has propelled HOA from a grass-roots organization focused on literacy to a national non-profit committed to education equity. HOA transforms student learning spaces, distributes resources in under-resourced communities, and focuses across four areas: STEM, Health & Wellness, College and Career Readiness, and Libraries and Literacy.
Goals & Objectives
HOA’s BOLD GOAL - 2030 by 2030: By the end of 2030, HOA will create 2,030 new vibrant learning spaces with robust educational resources to empower 3.5 million students living in poverty. Our goal is to reach half of all students experiencing poverty and provide them with the education they deserve.
Results & Impact
HOA has transformed 1,000+ spaces, delivered 4.4 million books, 70,000 education kits, and $9.5 million in technology, coordinated 185,000+ partner volunteer hours, and impacted 2 million+ students across the 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Navajo Nation in historically marginalized communities.
