Summary
2025 McNulty Prize winner Layla Zaidane leads Future Caucus (FC) in Washington, D.C., working to unite young lawmakers across party lines. The micro-doc highlights her leadership and FC’s mission to prioritize solutions over partisanship, empower the next generation, and rebuild trust in American democracy. The Prize, jointly awarded with the Aspen Institute, recognizes visionary leaders addressing global challenges. Winners receive funding and support valued at $350k, including a micro-doc.
Goals & Objectives
The micro-doc spotlights FC’s rise as the largest, most effective nonpartisan network of young lawmakers in the nation, engaging over 1,900 Millennial and Gen Z leaders across 36 state legislatures and Congress. The doc is part of the Prize, in the belief that revelatory storytelling drives change.
Results & Impact
Pending wider distribution, the micro-doc premiered at the Resnick Aspen Action Forum, a convening of 500+ global leaders, funders, and organizations. This debuted FC’s new model of powering bipartisanship to an audience well-positioned to help it expand its influence ahead of the election.
