About This Project
Summary
Blue Corridors is a first-of-its-kind digital experience that turns decades of whale migration data into a stunning, interactive platform. Built by WWF and global partners, it reveals the invisible highways whales follow across the planet while exposing the deadly threats they face along the way. With vivid storytelling, layered data, and intuitive design, it transforms complex science into a powerful tool for advocacy, policy, and action.
Goals & Objectives
To bring the story of whale migration to life, bridging science, policy, and public awareness. The goal is to visualize movement, expose risk, and drive global collaboration toward protection. The ambition is a digital home for marine science that doesn’t just inform, it inspires.
Results & Impact
Since launch, Blue Corridors has activated global audiences and policymakers alike. It connects data from more than 50 research groups, supports the 30x30 goal, and is shaping marine protection policies across borders. Most importantly, it helps turn awareness into coordinated conservation.
