Summary
We developed the world's first AI-powered shaper to rethink an industry that hasn't changed its polluting practices for 70 years. Shaper.AI, the world's first artificial intelligence trained with real-world knowledge from shapers (surfboard makers) specializing in wood and recycled materials, bringing that knowledge from the local to the global level, so anyone, anywhere, can build 100% organic boards. A solid solution to reduce the environmental impact of surfing while promoting sustainability
Goals & Objectives
Develop and offer a collaborative AI tool that connects shapers, surfers, NGOs, AI experts and media to promote the production of sustainable boards made from wood and recycled materials, sharing technical knowledge and expanding the global community linked to the project with open & free knowledge.
Results & Impact
More than 8200 shapers/surfers are in the global community, with alliances between experts in AI, sustainability and surfing. Flama Circular and the Shaper.AI project won 3 Anthem and 2 Communicator Awards in the US and were featured in Forbes and Mar Gruesa in Europe and Success Magazine in the US.
