Open Hand Studio of CannonDesign PROJECTAbout This Project
Summary
Project Horizon is an initiative led by Sunflower Network in partnership with Open Hand Studio of CannonDesign and a global collective — including the Clinton Global Initiative, Hines, Pelli Clarke & Partners, Northwell Health, and local teams — to bring a modular pediatric hospital to Western Ukraine. Designed to be resilient, trauma-informed, and built using innovative modular construction, the hospital offers a scalable model for post-crisis healthcare recovery worldwide.
Goals & Objectives
The goal is to deliver urgent, high-quality healthcare to Ukrainians through a new, accelerated, modular approach, creating a scalable solution that can be rapidly adapted for post-crisis recovery anywhere in the world.
Results & Impact
Accelerated by innovative modular design, the hospital is set to open in December 2025 and will serve more than 63,000 individuals from day one, providing vital care to children and families. It serves as a blueprint for bringing this model to other communities in need.
